BIOGRAPHY
Asmita Mahapatra is the daughter of Guru Shri Chitaranjan Acharya and began learning Odissi from an early age of 5 with exposures to the style of renowned Gurus. She has started her stage performance from 1986 at the age of 10 and participated in many cultural programmes. She has widely performed along with her father. She has performed in many important seminars, workshops and festivals arranged by State and National Sangeet Natak Academy and Habitat World, New Delhi. She is widely accompanying her father in each of their Jugalandi presentations. At present she is continuing her Training with Renowned Odissi dancer Smt. Madhavi Mudgal.
