Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) was established in 1990 with the sole purpose of promoting classical art and culture to the society. Since then, AIPA has been successfully pursuing this vision for over two decades. The Organisation has earned the reputation of being a devoted professional academy and also for training disciples into scholarship holders in the field of Kathak, Hindustani Vocal Music, Tabla, Guitar, Keyboard and Fine Arts.

She is an alumini of Kathak Kendra, National School of Kathak Dance, India. She is a recipient of National Scholarship by Govt. of India and an empaneled artist with Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of Culture. Alaknanda's biography has been published in ‘Asian Who’s Who’. She also featured in ‘Femina – Women in News’ for working against the barriers of age.
