Shailendra Janardan has made a remarkable distinction among the leading violinists of India of his generatioin, in the field of Hindustani classical music.
He had his initial training in gayaki style under renowned vocalist Shri Nalin Dholakiya .Later he developed technical aspects under the tutelage from "violin-samrat" Shri M.S. Gopalkrishnan and tantrakari ang from Shri Bimelendu Mukherjee-an eminent exponent of Imdadkhani gharana.
At the young age he won several prizes and appreciation for outstanding contribution in the field of music.He won first prize in the All India Radio Music competition at the age of seventeen.He was selected for the scholarship of young artists in the field of classical music by the Ministry of Culture and Education.
Besides having graduation in "ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING" Shailendre got his Bachelor's Degree in instrumental music (Tabla & Violin). He has superb control over his instrument and his style is unique and innovative blending of intricate Gayaki Ang and Tantra Ang i.e.Baj of sitar.
With an engineering profession he has rendered several performances at various prestigious associations,art circles, accademies, institutes and cultural centres in all over India.His performances are widely appreciated by the audience. He is an approved artist from All India Radio and Doordarshan. He regularly features the Regional and National network.
